Deng deng deng. Here is my first post on ezpz-food. (easy peasy) Here's a little introduction on myself. I am an Asian girl that just moved to the United States. I am currently in the progress of getting my immigration paperwork done so I REALLY have alot of free time. Recently I got inspired by a food recipe blog my fiance showed me so I decided to do my own! Except, I am no chef and sometimes, I am even embarassed by my own cooking! But I thought it would be fun to share my cooking experiences and "recipes" (if you even consider it one). I love tweeking pre-mixes and everything instant to my style. I cannot stand spending hours just to make a meal and let's face it, who has the time and patience to do that everyday?
Why ghetto recipes you say. Because ever since I got to USA in April, "Ghetto" has become my favorite word. I cannot believe how wide the vocabulary for this word is. Before I know about this word, I thought "fuck" was the only word that could be use in a thousand contexts.
That's a ghetto job. (referring to a bad job done)
This is a ghetto neighbourhood. (bad neighbourhood)
She's so ghetto. (girls who wear blingy clothes and loud accessories)
He has a ghetto car.
I'm living in the ghettos.
..... etc etc etc etc etc etc etc
Ghetto everything! Yay!
For my first post, I am going to introduce making the Singapore Laksa La Mian from the Prima Taste instant pack. Unfortunately, they do not have this in the states. I got mine from my friend who mailed them to me all the way from Australia. Yea, Singapore food from Australia mailed to USA!
You'll also need prawns and chicken cut into slices. I bought chicken tenders because they are more tender (duh) than chicken breast but taste almost the same to me.
I put the soup and ingredients to boil in a pot and noodles to cook in a pan of water because that is the only pot I have and it is not big enough for everything. :(
The noodles take longer than normal instant noodles to cook. About 7 minutes before it is ready.
2 packs of Prima Taste Laksa
Hah! Who am I kidding? This "recipe" is a joke! I'll try do a better one next time. :P
